Protectapipe

Protectapipe offers:-

* Heavy duty and enduring protection in the subsea environment.

* Protection against impacts, e.g. from vessels, or subsea activity in shallow water and in the vicinity of platforms.

* Protection against the abrasive actions of anchors and trawler nets, and against abrasion from rocks etc.

* Ballast and hence stability, to low density carrier pipes/cables.

* Considerable cost savings on alternative protective solutions, such as trenching.

Protectapipe is the simple, yet extremely effective solution for protecting your vulnerable cables, umbilicals and small carrier pipes from unwanted and costly damage.   The protected pipe/cable can be held tightly, or allowed to move freely within the Protectapipe. Protectapipe is manufactured in one piece or two half sections, according to installation method, with clean cut or bevelled ends, and it is secured by Inconel or Stainless Steel Strapping (as appropriate). Installation can be effected on board the Lay vessel or subsea, by diver.   Protectapipe is manufactured in highly corrosion-resistant Elastomeric rubber, in sections of up to 1.5 metres, and it is designed according to the specific requirements of each development project.
